Create artwork that mirrors the masters in STILL LIFE. – Students create their own still life by manipulating objects, changing backgrounds, and adding or removing objects. Fun for all ages.
Create portraits and landscapes in FACES & PLACES.. – Faces and Places helps children of all ages create portraits and landscape paintings in the style of American naive artists. Students use elements from famous pieces of art.
Create art from objects in SEA-SAWS. – SEA-SAWS is fun for kids of all ages. Select photographs of natural and man-made objects, then arrange the pieces to create a seascape or an abstract composition. The BUILD tool helps you construct animated characters and set them in motion.
Make symmetrical shape then give it a twirl in “3-D Twirler” – Using 3-D TWIRLER, create the outline of a shape and rotate it on an x, y, or z axis, then spin it around to see it from all angles. Bring it closer to you and then push it away. Cover the shape with a pattern skin and notice how the lines and shadows change. Fun for all age groups.
Pixelize famous art in Pixel Face. – Students “pixelize” famous portraits using selected colors, brushes, and resolution. While they enjoy pixilizing, they become acquainted with famous portraits.
Create an online Mobile – Students create a mobile with various shapes and pictures. Options are provided to change the size, speed, orbit, and balance. Cool fun for all ages!
Collage Machine – Students use online shapes and pictures to create collage. Options to rotate, reszie, flip, and more create interesting collages. When finished, students can print!
Arts and Artists during the Renaissance – This site uses interactivity to take students through the life of an artist during the Renaissance and explores the various pieces of art from this time period. Students become acquainted with artists and their artwork from this period.
Famous pieces of art become a jigsaw puzzle in Color with Leo. – Students will enjoy reconstructing famous paintings that are now jigsaw puzzles. This activity is a great way to introduce a unit in famous artists and famous artwork as well.
Curious George Mix and Paint – Students get started mixing primary colors (red, yellow, blue) and lightening them using white. By moving the cursor across to the canvas area students can paint with their new colors. They can empty the paint bucket at any time by clicking on it, as this will refill the paint tubes. The game simulates mixing real paint.
Create a Picasso! – By selecting each of the facial features, students can create an online portrait. Students will be proud of their own Picasso!
Bonomo Painting – Students will enjoy creating freestyle artwork. Their creation can be saved or printed.
Photo Op – This activity introduces students digital photography and photo editing. The virtual camera allows students to create snapshots, explore, lighting, focus, shutter speeds, and more.
Cubits – Students explore art in the form of a cube. By clicking on the cube the student can create a geometric design in the cube. Students can link to the National Gallery of Art to see large sculptures created in this way.
Paint Box – This program provides a creative outlet for drawing and painting. The young artists can print the creative work.
Wall Overs – Students use a repeating pattern to create a unique piece of artwork. These two-dimensional designs will teach students about symmetry and patterns.
River Run – Students change the speed, color, and shape of items in the stream as they move. Students click the moving pieces to change their shape and color. Also, they can see what happens when you adjust the speed.
Flow – This program is a motion art program. Students control the speed, rotation, size, spin, and type of rotation. Just plain fun or valuable knowledge for student interested in graphic animation.
