Teachers and students can use these Smartboard games, activities and lessons to learn about Social Studies in Sixth Grade, Seventh Grade and Eighth grade. Some of the topics covered are: World Geography, World History, Ancient Times, Religion, Foundations of Economics, Microeconomics, Personal Finance

Identify Inventors and Their Invention – Fun interactive matching game that allowed players to match inventors with their invention.  Full screen option and self-check at the end provide self-paced practice.

Identify Presidential First Ladies – In this matching game, players connect the president with his first lady.  Practice on great historical trivia!

Countries and Capitals – Learn countries and their capitals in Toad Hop, a multi-game that requires players to race from one place to another.  Up to four players may join in on the fun (and learning!).

Technology at Home – Use the slider to move forward and back through time. Position your cursor over an object to reveal some information about that object. New information is available each time an object first appears or changes appearance.

Colonial Days Activity – Students learn about music from the Colonial days in this fun interactive game. History and the arts are combined into one interesting activity.

Continents Smartboard Game – Fun game where students click on the continents in the order given. Students will play in a familiar game environment while reviewing continents and their locations.

Underground Rail Road – Pathways to Freedom Lesson:  Travel back to the 1800s and become an eyewitness to history. Students become a young slave who must make some important and life-changing decisions.
